SMS Assist Security Policy
SMS Assist is committed to maintaining the security of our systems and the confidentiality of information that has been provided to us. Accordingly, SMS Assist has implemented an ongoing risk management process to protect the integrity of our data systems to ensure that all information remains secure. This policy explains the steps SMS Assist takes to maintain secure information and what you should do should you become aware of any security-related incident involving SMS Assist’s technology.
Internally, SMS Assist operates data networks that are not available to the public. A number of proprietary security controls are used to prevent unauthorized access and to secure employees’ computers and their access to our internal networks. Further, we ensure that all our employees abide by strict data security, security incident management, and confidentiality policies and we constantly monitor access methods to ensure that they are not compromised.
Externally, authorized users may access SMS Assist services via the Internet. When transmitting information to SMS Assist via the Internet, data security is provided through the use of a security protocol called Secured Sockets Layer (SSL). SSL is an Internet security standard using data encryption and web server authentication. Encryption strength is measured by the length of the key used to encrypt the data; that is, the longer the key, the more effective the encryption. Using the SSL protocol, data transmission between you and the SMS Assist server is capable of performing up to a 256-bit level of encryption.
Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the Internet (especially wireless Internet) is not completely secure. Although we do our best to protect your information, we cannot guarantee the security of the information transmitted through our services. Any transmission of information is at your own risk.
By using any of SMS Assist’s technology (including this www.smsassist.com website and the services offered via this site), you acknowledge that you are responsible for notifying SMS Assist of potential or actual security-related breaches, incidents or concerns related to such use. Please provide notice to SMS Assist using one of the options below.
