Jianqing Zhao

Chief Technology Officer

Jianqing Zhao currently serves as the chief technology officer at SMS Assist. Since joining the company in 2009, Jianqing led the design and build of the award-winning technology platform, One by SMS Assist™. He has also overseen the expansion of the IT team, which has grown to include more than 190 employees worldwide. His team specializes in engineering, data warehouse architecture, development and operations, and project management. Together, they deliver the software products at the heart of SMS Assist’s core offerings, including web and mobile applications.

Jianqing was the co-founder and chief technology officer at SMART Facility Service before SMS Assist acquired the company. There, he was responsible for building the first facility management platform, MarketplaceSupport.

Jianqing earned his BS in computer science from Fuzhou University in China and his MBA from The Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago.
